I have always needed a space to connect with my creative side. This is something I have always held close to my identity as both an artist and a person. I used to think that graphic design was a corporate path for expressing my creativity. I was a creative person who felt afraid of surviving in the big world of tech. But design has become much more meaningful to me over my years in the BFA program. I went from feeling small and scared to becoming an artist who feels compelled to design. If I have learned one thing, it is that where there is a will, there is a way. That belief has carried me through the ups and downs of my time as a student.Creatives will always be the hardest on ourselves, but in moments of success, we have to remember to celebrate, to honor all the moments we struggled to become the designers we are today.
